Ignacio D. Maramba

In partnership with Synergeia and the Municipality of Sta. Barbara, Mr. Maramba (fondly called “Mang Atio”) and his family have been supporting his hometown, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan in working towards better reading skills for more than 3,500 Grades 1 and 2 students from 26 baranggays. Mr. Maramba was a Senior Partner of SGV and an officer of the International Finance Corporation.

Former Rep. Roman T. Romulo

Former Rep. Roman T. Romulo is well-known for his dedication to public service. Even before he was elected in 2007 as Representative of the Lone District of Pasig, he was already involved in various community projects in education, health, youth and sports, livelihood assistance, barangay development and land ownership. A lawyer by profession, Rep. Romulo has distinguished himself as a defender of human rights and advocate of the law. As a member of the 14th Congress, he serves as Vice-Chairman for both the Committee on National Defense and the Committee on Overseas Workers Affairs.

Cong. Romulo led the “Education Governance Program” in Pasig City.

United States Senator Dianne Feinstein and Mr. Richard Blum

Senator Dianne Feinstein of California has built a reputation as an independent voice, working with both Democrats and Republicans to find common-sense solutions to problems. Since her election to the Senate in 1992, Senator Feinstein has built a significant record of legislative accomplishments helping strengthen the United States’ security both locally and abroad, combat crime and violence, battle cancer, and protect natural resources in California and across the United States.

Mr. Richard Blum, is an investment banker. He is the Chairman and President of Blum Capital Partners, L.P., an equity investment management firm that acts as general partner for various investment partnerships and provides investment advisory services. Mr. Blum is Chair of the University of California Board of Regents, Co-Chairman of the World Conference on Religion and Peace, Founder and Chairman of the American Himalayan Foundation, a Trustee of The Carter Center and a Director of several companies.

Victor O. Ramos

He served as Secretary for the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) under the Ramos administration and is currently serving as a trustee of the Ramos Peace and Development (RPDev) Foundation.

In 2007, Sec. Victor Ramos, Synergeia Foundation and the Municipal Government of Natividad entered into a partnership to enable about 1,500 Grades 1 and 2 students in 18 elementary schools in Natividad, *Pangasinan to improve their reading competencies

Sen. Sergio Osmeña

Sen. Sergio Osmeña is currently the chairman of the Committees on Banks, Financial Institutions and Currencies and the Committee on Energy of the Philippine Senate.

His legislative efforts are focused on economic growth and reducing poverty.

Senator Osmena supports education programs of municipalities in Cebu.

Washington Z. Sycip

One of the most eminent and respected leaders and philanthropists in the country, Mr. SyCip is the Founder of accounting and auditing firm Sycip Gorres Velayo and Company.

Mr. SyCip is not only a generous patron of Synergeia but the most effective advocate of the need to improve the quality of the public school system. Mr. Sycip is a proud product of the Philippine public school system and dedicates his expertise, goodwill, and resources, in giving every Filipino child an opportunity to complete quality basic education.

Mr. SyCip is a hands-on Trustee and travels as far as Muslim Mindanao to convene mayors and their teams in formulating programs that will pull Filipinos out of poverty through education.
