The Bikes for the Philippines (BfP) program was established to (1) reduce the dropout rate of school children who have to walk long distances to school, and (2) reach out to dropouts to complete a high school equivalency program.

Navotas City Government, through its PMT headed by Mayor John Rey Tiangco, will hold family day activities until March 17 in all 21 public primary and secondary schools in the city.

As proof of their commitment to provide children with quality education, Mayors from Maguindanao will converge in a strategic planning on January 19, 2012 in Cotobato.  They will share their best experiences in working with children, teachers and schools and analyse the factors which made these programs successful.  The next in their agenda is to map out programs that they will undertake this year in their municipalities and collectively as a region.
