San Roque Power Corporation Renews Its Education Commitment

Synergeia Foundation, San Roque Power Corporation (SRPC) and local chief executives from San Nicolas, Pangasinan and Itogon, Benguet gathered together on September 9, 2008 to re-affirm their commitment to basic education.

 Mr. Ryukichi Kamaguchi, President and CEO of SRPC, thanked Synergeia Foundation for the partnership and continuous guidance in helping them continue the Reading Program in  Manuel and San Nicolas, Pangasinan and Itogon, Benguet. SRPC’s Reading Proficiency Program is part of SRPC’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.

 Mayor Mario W. Godio relayed his gratitude to both SRPC and Synergeia in helping his municipality improve the performance of students. He restated his commitment in fully supporting theprogram.

 Mayor Leoncio S. Saldivar, III (San Nicolas, Pangasinan) committed to  play a more active role in the program’s  implementation .

  Fr. Bienvenido F. Nebres, S.J., Chairman of Synergeia’s Board likewise expressed his thanks for the partnership among Synergeia, SRPC and the local government units of Benguet and Pangasinan. He also shared his thoughts on how education is key in achieving one’s dreams, most especially the dreams of the young.
